PASS Revision 7 Guidelines
What is The Partner Alliance for Safer Schools and Why Was It Formed?
School safety is a shared responsibility involving educators, parents, law enforcement, and community members to create a secure learning environment for our children. The Partner Alliance for Safer Schools (PASS) story is one born out of concern and commitment for school safety. Established in 2014, PASS provides comprehensive safety guidelines to implement a layered and tiered strategy to secure and enhance the safety of school environments.
As a PASS Sponsor, Telecor – a leader in communication technology – is dedicated to advancing and implementing these crucial recommendations. Our commitment ensures that schools have access to the latest communication solutions aligned with PASS, ultimately creating safer learning environments.
Why is Alignment with PASS Recommendations Important?
The newly released PASS Guidelines 7th edition, sets a new standard for K-12 school safety:
Version 7 embraces the emerging technologies while maintaining our fundamental belief that the basic and foundational methods and solutions are necessary. This is our best work yet. The updated guideline and checklist can flow directly into the threat assessment and the school district’s comprehensive safety plan.
– Chuck Wilson, chair of the PASS Board of Directors
Key updates in PASS Version 7 include:
• A new digital infrastructure layer
• Merged campus perimeter and parking lot security layers
• Expanded guidance on panic alarms, door locking, and visitor entry
• Enhanced content on physical hardening of buildings

4. Main Entry Door Intercom with Two-Way Communications
Door Entry Communication
Door stations integrate with existing IP camera systems, so you can identify visitors at building access points. Visual Console displays a facility floor plan with intercom icons, so you can quickly pinpoint the call’s origin.
